OMCA gives 27 Children a Christmas Party at JD McCarty Center in Norman
by Rick MooreOn December 15th, over 40 OMCA members gave the 27 full-time live-in children at the JD McCarty Center a Christmas party, using some of the proceeds from our September golf tournament to buy them gifts. The Center gave us lists of what the kids wanted, and then OMCA members, organized by Fran Krapff, of Krapff-Reynolds Construction Company, go out and shop for the kids. Mr. and Mrs. Santa, played by Don Manning of Industrial Machine and Jennifer Markwell of Markwell Paving, came in to the room following the triumphant march by Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, played by Jennifer King of Krapff-Reynolds Construction. Then OMCA elves helped present the kids their gifts. We also presented Director Curt Peters with a check for $34,000 from the golf tournament. Well done OMCA members, you came through again. Thanks!
